Stereo headphones are required. The effect depends on each ear receiving a slightly different tone — through speakers, the two pitches merge in the air and the beat never forms.

The Library

Seven centers. Seven states.

Forty-nine meditations, built on seven resonant frequencies and seven brainwave states. Every one is centered on one of the seven — and within each, the two pitches are spaced apart by a set distance, which is the state your brain moves toward. The distance runs from two hertz at the bottom, where sleep lives, to fifty-four at the top.

Journeys

Move through states, not just into one.

Chain up to seven meditations, set how long you want in each, and they blend into one another without a seam. Start from a shaped journey, or build your own.

Build your own

Up to seven segments. Set a length for the whole journey, or tune each part on its own.

How to listen

Three things that matter.

Use headphones

Not optional. Each ear has to receive its own pitch for the beat to form inside your head rather than in the room.

Keep it quiet

If you can perceive the sound at all, it is working. Louder does not mean stronger. Fifty percent volume or below is plenty.

Not while driving

Delta and theta are designed to pull you toward sleep — never listen while driving, or while operating anything that needs your attention. The two gamma states pull hard the other way, so keep those well away from bedtime.

Keep it on your home screen

Opens straight into the dial with no address bar — and once you have opened it once, it works with no signal at all. Every tone is generated on your phone, so there is nothing to download.

A plain note on what this is. N|Harmony is built for rest, focus, and reflection. It is not a medical device, and nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Binaural beats remain an active area of research, and individual responses vary widely — treat what you feel as your own evidence, not as a promise. If you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, are pregnant, wear a pacemaker, or are being treated for a heart or neurological condition, speak with your doctor before using frequency-based audio.
